Il Violinista

What do you do in your life (work and fun)?

I am a violinist and I am lucky to be doing what I always felt to do: travel and perform everywhere. That’s lots of fun to me!

What made you leave Italy and chose Philadelphia?

Probably the fact that I graduated twice in Europe (Italy and Holland) and liked the idea to study with other great professors in the U.S. so I went for it and worked hard to do so.

Please share your best memory in the City.

I don’t have a best memory but I have lots of things I like to do in New York and Philadelphia. I love eating very well and discovering new restaurants and, as I like to take long solitary strolls, I always loved walking in the park listening to music at night to relax after a long day practicing or performing.

What made you choose this specific location and outfit?

Me and Alexo were in the middle of the beautiful central park and we saw that chapel walking around. The outfit is basically my concert attire but shown a bit differently.

Your thought about this project, ITALIANY.US

Alexo’s idea is great! Somehow he is gathering and taking amazing pictures of a lot of Italians in the U.S. doing a lot of interesting things. I think it’s an incredible idea.

How would you describe being an ambassador of the Italian style/culture abroad?

Well, I feel lucky. I carry and spread what I think is unique and inspiring of the Italian culture and it feels good to notice that Italians, at times, can bring a special touch while working with other inspiring people from other countries. I almost feel the responsibility towards my country, and I like it!
