Luca Parmitano
L'Astronauta
A sicilian-born Fighter Pilot, turned Test Pilot, turned Astronaut, Luca was the first Italian to perform a spacewalk during his 6 months mission, named ‘Volare’, on the International Space Station. Luca is married to Kathy and has 2 daughters, Sara and Maia.

It shows a part of me which is almost never seen, in a location that is very familiar to most that know me.
Any time we can present our beautiful country in a positive light, count me in.
I find it’s very simple. Italians are loved and respected everywhere I go, certainly as professionals, even more for their human qualities.
