Eleonora Pellegrin

La Naïf

North-Italian Model in her twenties, I started at the age of 15, but full time only 5 years ago. Coming from a small town close to Milano, before that I studied as professional ballet dancer for 11 years at Teatro Carcano in Milano. Almost graduated in Economics, dog and nature lover, big cities open my perspective and dance is what makes me feel alive.

What do you do in your life (work and fun)?

In the city I’m a full time model, working with Muse model management. I like to attend events (art expositions, food and music festivals). In my freetime I like to workout, fitness keeps my mind awake. Once a week I go to the movies and take acting classes.

What made you leave Italy and chose NYC?

I had the dream to come and discover what really means living in NY since I was a teenager. First time I came it was at 18 years old for a summer stage at the american ballet and then I asked to my mother model agency in Milano if I could come here to try to work!

Please share your best memory in the City.

My best memory was doing my first shooting under the rain around the streets of Brooklyn with the Manhattan skyline in front of me, between shoots drinking coffee I couldn’t believe this was happening.

What made you choose this specific location and outfit?

I live in downtown and I have always had a kind of wild side, this is why I chose murales area. It’s an art expression public for everyone, the one in particular with the wings because freedom is what every human being has the right to have! The outfit: the jacket is custom vintage from Vietnam and the rest in line with my personality, it does not have to be in vogue at that time!

Your thought about this project, ITALIANY.US

I think that this project is simply something that amuse me, I will be so interested to get to know all the different Italian profiles of people, their different paths, passions and lives. These pictures will remain specials and Alexo is the one who for sure has enriched the most.

How would you describe being an ambassador of the italian style/culture abroad?

To be an ambassador of the Italian country in a city like NYC so international is just something that everyday makes me so happy, people here have such a great consideration of us, they especially love the beauty of our country, the food and the welcoming people that they met. A Russian colleague said to me once that for her it wasn’t so difficult to leave her country, she just can’t believe how hard should be for us to take such a decision!
