L'Organizzatore

I grew up in Varese, in an amazing family, true Italian environment, an idilic countryside setting of Northern Italy, full of wonderful friends and family enjoying every day of my youth. I was always curious to discover new, larger experiences in combination with what our Italian way gives us, we can live anywhere in the world. I was very fortunate to have joined an iconic publishing house at Italian Vogue in my twenties. I have traveled the world and worked alongside the most amazing and creative people, in the most creative books of all time.

What do you do in your life (work and fun)?

Today I work as an Advertising Director at Conde Nast International. The titles are superb. In combination with the energy of NY, both still inspire me to grow on a personal level and on professional, to open new markets and new categories. The US is a very competitive and challenging market but also a very positive and optimistic and it  pushes one to be at one’s best. I love the cultural richness of NY. We love to experience music from an emerging underground band in the village to the best performing opera at the Lincoln center. One of the best broadway show I loved was Kinky Boots because it illustrates the message of NY, finding friendship, inspiration and passion where you least expect it. Don’t be afraid to be all you can be.

What made you leave Italy and chose NYC?

As a teenager I went to Hastings, GB for a student summer holiday, when I discovered the freedom, independence of travel, music of the 8o’s New Wave and birth of house music. It was magic! At that moment I knew I have to live abroad. I moved to NY 18 years ago for a new chapter in my life. It was work related but I always thought one should at least once in their life live in a country completely foreign to them, beyond their comfort zone. NY was always a destination that attracted me because of its energy and diversity.  After all these years I still love it but in my heart I am Italian and I love Inter Milan ahh!!

Please share your best memory in the City.

I have so many best memories in NY… Many, many of them… The feeling of rollerblading down the west side highway to battery park, the water, the wind, the freedom, and ending up in front of the statue of liberty, is always full of emotion for me. I also love the view from midtown onto the Hudson river with great sunset moments all year long. It’s a sunny place!! And the best moment of all…walking in Central Park has always been a unique experience of NY life!

What made you choose this specific location and outfit?

My biggest passion is sports and music.  I am a real “sportista”, and I try to inspire, engage and involve people that surround me to practice sports. I love tennis, Djokovic, my favorite player of all time inspired me, as he gives his all on the court… I admire true athletes as it translates to life and business.

Your thought about this project, ITALIANY.US

Amazing to be part of this creative group of Italianii!!!! The profiles illustrate well the sensibility of us, Italians and the portraits are superbly shot by one of the best italian photographers in NY. I am honored to be part of this project.

How would you describe being an ambassador of the italian style/culture abroad?

I have to say my whole career I have heard from people from all over the world telling me: “there is no creativity, like the italian creativity and sensibility”. It made me very proud. We are not ambassadors of Italy, Italy is an amabassador for all of us!
